Duke Alums on the 2024 PGA and LPGA Tours

Wow, fantastic round by Max as he shoots -6 and gets back to even par for the tournament! I hate to even suggest it but another round like this and he might have a chance to move on…might

Sorry AG but it will take much more than that. -6 is currently T6 and those guys haven't even teed off yet, so by the end of today -6 will probably be about T20. And it will continue to move against Max's interest tomorrow. He dug too deep a hole this time.

Yeah obviously very unlikely

Wow, apologies AG. There hasn't been nearly as much movement as I expected. -6 is still in the top 10 after today. So Max definitely has a chance if he plays tomorrow like he did today, where he had the unequaled round of the day.
Yeah I kinda sensed players were gonna struggle today but it was worse than I expected.

Well, after birdies on two of the first three holes Max has lost it and bogeyed three of the next four holes. Just time to finish as high as possible and go take a nice little break…

Max shoots the same number of birdies as yesterday (6) but unfortunately also shoots 5 bogeys. At least he beat the #1 player in the FedEx Cup rankings after that horrific start and looks like he will finish around 30th this week. Great first season and he has shown his ceiling is really high!!

As expected, Alex and Kevin in the field at Napa next week as they begin their mad scramble to keep their Tour cards. They have 8 tournaments to do it.

They're probably competing with about 75 guys for 25 spots. 71-100 are probably pretty safe, and anyone over 175 is probably too far behind.

I hope everyone agrees that the change in tour schedule has been a bit confusing. Now it's a calendar year, I think.

Well, Alex is +2 through 3. Ugh. Only 6 players doing worse, about a third of the field yet to tee off.

Kevin -2 through 4.

Solheim Cup starts today.

Celine and Leona on the European Team.

All weekend on the Golf Channel and some NBC on Sunday.

Captain decided to go with Charly Hull over Leona today to start the tournament. Leona has not been good this year but is an amazing Solheim cup player with easily the best record of all Europeans and winning 7 of her ten matches. Leona has been magical in this event.

Hull and her partner were easily defeated. Wonder of Pettersen is going to regret that choice.
