Duke Alums on the 2024 PGA and LPGA Tours

He’s not gonna be top 125 unless . . . Hopefully he finishes 125-150 and still plays some tourneys next year.
 
Sadly it will be just Max making the cut like the US Open as Kevin sits at -2 and needing to go -3 over his last 6 holes.

Max has looked very good and I’m hoping that US Open strong finish will propel him to great things…

He'll have the FedExCup Fall for more chances, it's the new system they instituted last year. But a lot of guys are scrambling desperately for their card then, it's like an extended Q school. Alex is having a terrible year by his standards, and he's still made almost half a million. A lot of guys want to make the Tour, the money is insane.

And Alex just bogeyed the 2nd-easiest hole, which is like giving up 2 strokes to the field on this course. Only about 12% of the golfers are over par. Alex will have to go -7 over the back 9 to make the cut. His tournament is over.
 
All of our guys are playing in the off-event next week as they scramble for 60% of the points. Only Max doesn't need to be there, but he's looking to make the playoffs.

Maybe. He’s tied for 60th and lots of -5 on the course. Hopefully, no more than five of those guys don’t go to -6 or some of the -6 lose a stroke.

Greyserman goes into today’s final round T21 at -13. T9 is -15 so an above average round by Max could result in another Top 10 finish. He has two Top 10 finishes so far in 2024.

Max got into the Scottish Open based on his recent play. Congrats to Max! He tees off at 4:12 (EDT).
 
Alex with a great start, sinks a 21-footer for birdie on the last and currently -5 and T16. Adam good with -4 and T37, Kevin not-so-good (ok, terrible) with +1 and T135. Course playing very easy, looks like the cut will be -5, maybe -6.

Max good in Scotland with -3 and T34.
 
Our guys really need to make the most of this opportunity. This is a really, really weak field. There are only 3 top-100 players in the field...#98, #99, and #100. Reduced points, but a top-3 still gets you over 100 points. At the same time, a 10th place finish would barely get Alex back into the top 125. He's doing well, but he desperately needs to do VERY well.

Smalley is -5 through 11 holes to improve to -10 overall. He is doing very well so far. Keep it up.
 
Max has a mediocre day and shoots even par to remain at -3, which is the current cut line. He should make the weekend with only 51 players ahead of him but there are plenty of players on the course.

Leaderboard shows Max is Even through two holes. He has lots more golf to play in the 2nd round.
