Blue Devils in the NBA 2024-2025

No word about RJ Barrett's triple-double (13-11-10) in last night's loss to the Heat? Nearly a quadruple-double (6 turnovers).

I didn't watch the game, but I know he got the 10th rebound in the last minute and didn't shoot well (5/18).
Yea that shooting line was rough. He had 3 blocks by early 2nd half so I thought he might pull off a 5-5-5-5 (that didn’t include TOs).

Sorry if I distracted the thread. As many know, I am a big fan of Jalen and am thrilled with his development on the Hawks. But, every time I bring him up, someone says "who?" or something like that so I sorta wanted to head it off by mentioning that from the start. In doing so, I guess I sorta started what I meant to stop. Oh well.

Anyway, he's a great watch at the next level and I've been proud to call him a Dukie from day one (especially because he plays for my Hawks and is making Quin Snyder look good).
Thanks Jason. I agree with this, especially after attending a game. He is a great watch, and I was especially impressed with his passing. And it was fun to see him matched up with LeBron, although he did get in foul trouble and have to sit some.

Also, although I wasn’t paying close attention, I’m pretty sure when the starting lineups were introduced, he was introduced as Jalen Johnson from Duke University.

i saw it in the excellent Duke Alums site, and was thinking "that's the worst triple double (if there is such a thing as a bad one) i've ever seen." RJ really does have a diversified game, but sometimes (like many very good players) his shooting is just horrid.

Crap, McCain is out indefinitely with a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee

He was by far the leader to win ROTY. Too bad, it's probably not going to happen anymore, especially if he goes the meniscus repair route, which takes much longer to heal than slicing off the damaged portion, but is better for his knee's health long term. With how bad the team is, probably best to shut it down.

Who knows, maybe he'll get to play with Cooper.

seems that maybe Karma was listening to the young'un when he asserted that he was the ROY in that widely discussed moment here on the DBR boards...

Tyus with a very uncharacteristic -3 on a/to in the loss to MEM. He scored 21 pts on 7/15 FGs, but had only 2 assists vs FIVE turnovers.
As a group Duke alums shot well from 3 last night, 13-28 (46%).
Ed.- ...to add that Gary Trent shot 4/5 3FGs last night and is now up to 41.1% on the year, his 2nd highest season 3FG% behind 41.8% his 2nd year in the NBA. He's really recovered his shooting touch after a dreadful start.

I looked at the box score of the Memphis-Phoenix game and am surprised you neglected to mention the great games by Kennard and Plumlee.

Luke went for 17 points, 7 rebs, 4 assts and 2 steals and led the team with a +9. He was 5/8, 3/6 threes and 4-4 from the line.

Plumlee had 12 points (6-6 FG), 8 rebs, 3 assts and 3 blocks

Neither player had a TO.
