Blue Devils in the NBA 2024-2025

I might put their odds a little higher, especially if Brown and Holiday can get back or close to 100%.
Oh, I put their odds much higher if those two come get back to full health. But from what I’m hearing, that’s not realistic at all for Brown. And the hamstring Jrue is dealing with is also tough to come back from at full strength after such a short period of rest.

Brown logged 41 minutes and had 21 points and 11 boards yesterday. He didn't have a great shooting day from the floor but hit 9-10 FTs and was +7 overall for the game. May not be 100% but seems to playing through his knee pain pretty well. I think Jrue's hamstring may wind up being more problematic. I assume the Celts are hoping for the Pistons to steal the next game or two to extend that series.

Come on, buddy, you know this will all work out and the Celtics are going to win their second straight championship, right? 🏀 🏆

Watching Brown, particularly on defense, I felt he wasn’t himself. He’s clearly trying to lock in and play outstanding defense, but I don’t think his knee is allowing him to move with the freedom that he did last year in the playoffs. So I am concerned about that. And yes, hamstrings are always difficult to overcome without plenty of rest. So Jrue may not be himself for the entirety of the playoffs. And that definitely hurts.

Kyrie has been doing his research again

I was wondering so I asked Duck Duck Go to find if Bill Gates could purchase the majority of the land in the US. Here is a partial answer generated by the DDG AI so you know it has to be correct.

Bill Gates' personal wealth is about $124 billion.
The total worth of the land in the US is around $23 trillion.
Bill's personal wealth is about 0.5% of the value of US land.
Bill has a lot of money, but probably not enough to get the job done.

Someone starts with a fact “Gates owns more US land than anyone else” and twists the idea to make it “Gates owns most of the land in the US.” Kyrie falls for the misinterpretation because it fits his suspicious world-view. Ho hum... business as usual.

And Gates doesn’t even own more land than anyone else — not even close. He’s the largest private farmland owner, but 43rd in total land ownership; his 275,000 acres of total land is nearly 2 million acres less than the largest landowner.

Still, though, he owns the most farmland. That must be weird, right? Well, unless you keep in mind that someone has to own the most farmland. Then it’s no longer so suspicious that … someone owns the most farmland.

And the whole water ownership business is just nonsense.

Basically we just aren’t dealing with a very bright guy here, or a very responsible one.

He owns more U.S. farmland than anyone else. He is not the largest, or particularly close to being the largest, holder of land in the U.S, [Or what Western said].

It's rather remarkable that despite the truly remarkable physical talent Kyrie has AND given his very real charitable acts to people in need - his loud, repeated, insistent ignorance manages to make him borderline impossible to stomach.

It's a waste of... something.

Not just his suspicious world-view but also the false COVID narrative of Gates using the vaccines to implant tracking / mind control devices powered by 5G. Him and Aaron Rogers have this fallacy that they are smart because they have bits of information and question the establishment without actually having knowledge. It's ego driven drivel. He had, it seemed, successfully rehabilitated his image as a loony by not saying things. Well we are back to the nutter.

[sarcasm] Hang on... you are telling me that one of the richest men in the history of the world owns a bunch of land?!?!

Wow, I would not have expected that. Rich people owning land. That is weird. [/sarcasm]
