The longest thread ever

We are expecting 3-6 inches in Winston-Salem. I will be with my girlfriend in Charlotte. Maybe 2-4 inches of snow there, but close to the snow/ice line. Hopefully it stays south of us and we get just snow. Headed to the store to get snacking cheese (snacking cheese is like Wu-Tang...it ain't nuthin to f with) and ingredients to make shakshuka. If y'all don't make shakshuka, start.

I sometimes add celery and I simmer this all day, because I like it better that way. But this recipe is a great jumping off point.

Hi LTE! I have tix next week for the Miami game. I'm bringing an old friend who has Cameron on his bucket list. The game looked more competitive at the beginning of the season, but I still hope the Crazies turn out and show why it's the best place to see a college bball game.

He went to Penn State and he took me to a football game in State College last year so I'm returning the favor. We're only in town for two days and it's gonna be chilly! We're staying at the Washington Duke.

In addition to the game, I want to show him our beautiful campus, the Duke Hall of Fame, and we have dinner reservations at Juju Durham, which was recommended. I'd love to grab some local BBQ , but not sure what's good and close by. I've heard Bullocks is no longer the spot it used to be. I'd also like to get to the lemur center, but I don't think we'll have time and it requires reservations. Maybe add breakfast at Elmo's Diner?

Any thoughts/recommendations are appreciated regarding any of the above or something I'm missing, keeping in mind time is limited. Thanks!

The Crazies will be there in force. Tenting begins on Sunday, so all of K-Ville will come in to get warm. Tenting is only three weeks this year, so you're actually coming at prime time from the Crazy perspective.

I'd do breakfast at Elmo's for sure, but I roll my own BBQ, so hopefully someone else will chime in for that. I haven't been out to get BBQ in about 10 years.

The last time I braved any threat to go to work was February 29, 2020.

Snow report from Greenville, SC, as of 11:00 AM I have counted 37 snowflakes.
No snow on the coast but the freezing rain has started. Ice skating the roads by tomorrow morning. Funny times ahead. :( Gas prices did drop 25¢ from the unexplained 50¢ surge from Monday so yea?

This place is excellent. Cool that y'all have tickets! Juju is a GREAT choice. Strong work.

Jared Harris was one of the freshman I was assigned to guide during orientation. Didn't keep up with him much after that.

His roommate from Duke was a groomsman in my wedding. My husband was in that friend group but didn't live in their dorm as a freshman so he wouldn't have been one of your group back then.

Awesome, thanks for the recommendation, Clem!

I still go to Bullock's when I'm in Durham. The family style dinner for a big group is still worth it!! Also - it is the only place in the world where I will drink sweet tea. I prefer unsweetened - it's probably why they made me move to Massachusetts - but at Bullock's, I'll drink the sweet stuff. But I trust Clem. I'll have to try the Original Q Shack next time I visit the parents.
