MBB: The 2025 Transfer Portal

Scheyer seems committed to seeking size across all positions. He fits the profile.
Kansas and Florida are also on the list, so not sure why the agent would need to add Duke for embellishment.

I think Pryor will "only" have 2 years left available to him. While he only played 5 games in 2020-21 and 8 games in 2021-22, the NCAA already didn't count the 2020-21 season and he played in February in 2021-22. So the first season already didn't count and he won't be eligible for a waiver for the second year. But the JuCo year won't count, and he should get this past year waived. So just the 2021-22 and 2023-24 seasons will count against his eligibility, leaving him 2 more years if he desires it.
Sure Pryor may “only” have two years of eligibility left. However, by the time you factor in his upcoming 2 year Mormon mission and a 3 year tour with the Coast Guard, he’ll be in his early 30s by the time he uses up his college eligibility.

More seriously, I had mistakenly been under the impression that his limited playing time at Boise had to be related to injuries. Turns out, he just wasn’t good enough to play. Kinda bizarre that a guy who wasn’t good enough to play more than 36 minutes for Boise State as a 21 year old Sophomore may end up being one of the most sought after players in the country 5 years later.

Interesting one to watch. Only played 6 games due to injury but those are some big numbers.

Here are his game splits from last year. It was the first 6 games of the season before he got hurt so Iowa's the only P5 team he faced. FWIW, he averaged 15.4 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 1.7 APG, and 1.0 SPG in 2023-24 at Eastern Washington, shooting 36.5% from 3.

Who knows if we are actually pursuing Coward or not (seems similar to how we were "involved" with Xaivian Lee), but it's a big no thank you for me.

He looks like a really solid player, but he will be transferring to his 4th school. I'm just not interested in the AJ Storrs of the world.

Christian Reeves has transferred to College of Charleston. I googled and they are a D1 program in the Costal Athletics Association.

CoC has had some decent teams for a low/mid-major over the years. Formerly coached by Bobby Cremins, Earl Grant, and Pat Kelsey, and currently coached by former Xavier and Louisville head coach Chris Mack.

WTF. 3 high schools in 1 basketball season is ridiculous. That’s basically 1 school per month.
Having coached youth travel basketball for many years I can tell you that there are a number of very bad actors involved in the sport that routinely talk kids into poor decisions which then become habit for them. And that was all in the pre-NIL and portal days. I shudder to think about what a cesspool that must be now.
