The saga of Daniel Jones thread

The Giants have issued a statement that they are releasing Daniel Jones.

I am betting he will sign with someone for the rest of the season as a backup and/or injury insurance.

Those of us who think the Giants are a giant trash fire and have been eager to see Daniel in a different situation are finally going to get our wish.

Tentatively going to the Giants game Sunday. Curious to hear what the buzz is. I am a huge Giants fan but I would have no problem with Daniel sticking it to them by doing well with a good franchise.
Daniel might like the Vegas weather and compete with the QBs now on that team. Same with Dallas.

I saw some Tweet from some insider source that said a lot of the Giants vets were pissed about this, mainly it being a telegraphed financial move and that it was insulting to put Jones 3rd string. I think Dexter Lawrence said that he's the best qb on the roster.

Oh boy, I hate to say it, but the Cowboys need a QB now that Dak is out. He might even be better than Dak.🥺🥺😖
Dak Prescott is a good QB. He’s had a tough go of it this year with huge losses on the offensive line in the offseason, a poor WR corp (other than Lamb), mediocre TE targets and an anemic RB corp. There is not a QB — other than Patrick Mahomes — who would have a prayer of winning with this group. And even he would struggle to carry this team to 9-8.

Last year the Cowboys were top 10 — maybe even top 5 — in overall talent, but injuries, a mediocre last two drafts, free agency losses, and zero good pickups in free agency or trades has dropped them to the bottom half of the NFL virtually overnight.

Their GM should be fired immediately. Unfortunately, he’s the owner. 😬
