Podcasts that talk about Duke Men's Basketball 2024-25

Enjoyed the latest DBR pod and found myself mostly agreeing with Jason on his picks.

But I think there was one category where all three guys may have whiffed. I think Cooper and Kon will both be 10/5/5 machines this year. Basically any game where one of them tallies 5 assists, or Cooper gets 5 blocks, should be a 10/5/5 game. We may even have some games where they both hit it. And Foster or Proctor could pop 1-2 as well.

I'm guessing more like 12-15 total on the season.

This is always a difficult stat to actually achieve, mainly because there are so many guys that fall 1-2 assists short or 1 rebound short or even a couple points short (the 10 has to be points). We were blessed with having Wendell Moore (for whom the category is named for) because he did it seemingly every game. But I believe since he's left we've only had around 7 total 10-5-5 games (that's over 2 seasons). If we're getting 12-15 Wendell Moore games from these guys, go ahead and put us in the NBA playoffs haha.

I came up with 12 also, but I was predicting two games where ManMan gets 5 blocks.

I get it, but this team is built different. Put us in the playoffs!

We are going to play through Cooper and Kon a lot on offense and both have a real knack for driving the ball and either lobbing to Khaman or kicking out to an open shooter. It looks like we will play fast this year too which will up the opportunity for assists. I think both guys will AVERAGE 3-4 assists per game.

For the 10 points and 5 rebounds, I think if Cooper and Kon are on the floor 30 minutes, they hit that 70-80% of games. Kon is a better rebounder than I expected.

So I'll say Kon and Cooper each hit it 6 times and then 1 each for Khaman, Proctor, Foster for a team total of 15.

I should point out that we've already seen Cooper get 6 assists in a game, but we have not yet seen him get 5 rebounds.

My prediction is Cooper 5, Kon 3, Maluach 2, Proctor 1, Foster 1.

We also have yet to see him play close to 30mpg.

Normalizing ASU for 30mpg and Kon would have put up 29/7/6 and Cooper would have put up 13/6/4.
