NCAA Football 2024 (national discussion)

I lost the one minute over under, it only took Saban two minutes into the CFP show to start whining about Alabama possibly being left out. Herbstreit had the audacity to point out that he called the Bama game when they got whupped by a not good at all Oklahoma team...

What bullcrap. No way the Big 10 should have four teams. Alabama should have gone in over Indiana. Big miscarriage of justice there. And I still think Miami is one of the twelve best teams in the nation as well.

Yep. Indiana's best win is a 5 pt win against Michigan? which would be Alabama's 7th best win. I don't get it.

Opening lines:

Texas -10.5
Notre Dame -8.5
Ohio St. -7
Penn. St. -8.5

Hard not to take all the favorites. Tennessee has the best chance of an upset although some might not consider it one.

They had to put SMU in. Can’t penalize SMU for playing in a championship game while Bama sat at home.
I was surprised SMU even had a choice to “opt out”. Can a team refuse to play in the conference championship game??? Seems like they should have to play.

If you leave out SMU... but keep in Indiana... then no one is going to ever play in their conference title games.... Teams will literally just not show up
I don't believe you can just choose not to play a game without it being a forfeit and a loss. That's like saying we could have chosen not to play SMU, Miami or GT and then we would be undefeated. Oregon had no reason to play Penn State since they went in as the #1 overall, so why wouldnt they choose to skip the game if that was an option? Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
