Dukies on the 2025 PGA and LPGA Tours

This tournament has gotten away from Alex, he must be wearing his swim trunks because he's been on the beach a lot. He's just missed his 3rd straight put of around 10 feet and is +3. It's not over, but the lights are almost out.
 
I think Alex's tournament is over. He's already +1 on the day and 3 off the projected cut. He's not playing well enough to make up that ground.
 
Max off to a shaky start (starting on #10) but the course seems to be playing fairly tough early. If the shot tracker is to be believed he holed out from the rough from 81 feet on #11 but then bogeyed #12 with a 3-putt. He’s +1 thru four holes after missing a 10-foot birdie on #13.

You can't miss three (3!) 5-foot putts, and another 3 under 10 feet, and expect to make the cut. 😣

His putting has been so much better, I hope this is a blip and not a return to his 2024 form. His last 6 rounds (spanning 3 tournaments) have been by far his worst stretch of the year. Let's hope he gets his game back on track next week in San Antonio.

Max also in his worst stretch of the year, he's missed the cut badly in his last 2 events. He's taking the week off to get his game in shape for his 1st Masters (and 2nd major after last year's U.S. Open). He'll be worth 2 points in the mkirsh contest.
 
Alex with a mistake-free -2 and currently T10. Considering he didn't birdie any of the 4 par-5s, he couldn't have done much better.
 
Alex is 7th alternate for the signature event next week...so he'll be playing in the Dominican Republic. He's coming off by far the worst stretch of his year with 8 consecutive bad rounds and missed cuts in his last 3 events. In that time he's dropped over 10 spots and has fallen out of the top-50 in the FedExCup. I hope he has used his week off to get his game back, he was doing so well. Speaking of doing well, he has done very very well at this tournament with finishes of T14, T22, T2, and T6. This week should tell us a lot.

Adam Long is 1st alternate in the DR, so a pretty good chance he gets in also.
