Yep. His 1st challenge of the day. 13 feet to make par. And Rory dialed in.

Yep, all that water made it a dangerous shot. But he needs to make a putt or 2 like this to win. A long one you don't expect him to make.

He's gonna make this day tough on us.

Right now, I'm saying this is Rory's tournament to lose.

The leader just 2-putted from 54 feet. Alex 3-putted from 39. Until he fixes that he won't reach his potential.

Despite the bad start, Alex is only 3 back. He strings together a couple of birdies and he's right in the thick of it. And there's double-bogeys lurking all around the course for the leaders.

Ok, make that "a few birdies". C'mon Alex!

Alex misses another opportunity for birdie (13-footer)...but Rory bogeys...another leader just bogeyed...and a guy that was tied with him just took a double.

A lot of golf left. This tournament is there for the taking.

Golf's rules need to be tweaked. JJ Spaun hit it into the rough and got to drop his ball in the fairway. I understand if he has to take relief from a sprinkler head, but he shouldn't be able to improve his lie like that.

I said I wanted a top-10 before the tournament, so I'm not gonna gripe now though it would be a bit of a letdown after the 1st 3 days. A top-5 would be great and is within reach.
