Duke Football 2024

I'm grabbing this quote from the game thread and putting it here since it's more fitting as a generic subject.

MM has not had a single game with positive yardage yet. The closest he got was against Elon with zero, So far his rushing totals equal 54 yards in the wrong direction.
If he goes back another 43,826,944 yards, would that count as a rushing TD?

Any guesses on when the start time will be set for the SMU game? I'm planning to be in town to watch my niece, who plays lacrosse for ECU, vs. Duke in a "friendly" on Sunday morning, and we would like to make a weekend of it by attending the football game.

It's been way too many years since I've been to a game at Wallace Wade. Any recommendations on the best sections for buying 4 tickets? Looking at the seating chart on goduke.com, I'm surprised to see so many sections sold out. Also, any recommendations on parking? Thanks in advance.

As you say, some mobility would be needed for an NFL career, but it could be mobility within the pocket (e.g., Brady, Rivers, Goff). Murphy seems plenty fast enough and certainly big enough, but seems to have no 'instincts' for running. That will, I bet, be worked on during Spring football. It might be that other skills/playbook were emphasized in the limited time since his transfer.

Like others here, I'm surprised he didn't develop some instincts as a runner in high school. It may well be he will never be much of a dual threat.

I'm hoping for 3, won't be surprised at a night game if we beat FSU. I doubt a nooner given our opponent.

Maybe I've missed it, but what is Henry Belin's status? When he came in for a handful of plays versus NW...the offense seemed to wake up. Has there been an injury / transfer development that I have missed?

Will someone please post a complete injury update.
Player position injury out for season or out for ____weeks
Thanks
you're never going to get that except for guys definitely out for the season, like Dalmolin. This is the new era of ultra secrecy...Manny is a practitioner as well. He said starting LB Nick Morris was day to day about four weeks ago and we still haven't seen him. No such thing as a real injury report any more. You'll know if they can play if you see them on the field.

p.s. I watched SMU play Stanford, this is going to be an enormous challenge for Manny's defense....first play from scrimmage they threw an 87 yard TD pass....I'm not totally pessimistic though, I think we can get a modicum of offense against them, see if we can hang around.

ESPN goes Paul Johnson for the Miami game time. We will know more next Sunday. I'm not sure why because Miami as the opponent is enough to get one of the ESPN2 spots.

It’s all about the offense in my mind. If our D is given time to rest in-between series, we can probably hold them to sub-30 (especially if Stanford is giving up 40). But if our offense 3-and-outs like we seem to do, it will be a long night.

I’m actually in favor of trying Belin at this point. We need a QB to run and keep the chains moving

Looking at some advanced stats today that all say our profile (offensive/defensive stats) is very similar to Oklahoma's. Any other year that'd be a great thing lol
