Blue Devils in the NBA 2024-2025

Tatum was ready for the season to start! 37 points on 14-18, 8-11 from 3. 10 assists with only 1 TO.
About the only silver lining for this Knicks fan was watching JT in full command of his considerable powers. My goodness. It was also nice to see JT and Amile get their rings.

The Celtics tied the record for most 3s in an NBA game with 29. They tied the mark with about 7 minutes to go in the game, and the only suspense was whether or not they'd break it. At that point, they were deep into their bench. If I am not mistaken, they took 10 more 3s in that stretch and missed them all as they crowd groaned with each squandered opportunity and the starters on the bench cheering/mocking their teammates failures. Credit to Coach Mazzulla that with a minute left he put an end to the sideshow basically telling his reserves, "You had your chance, it's time to shut down this mockery".

I was never as miffed by Tatum's experience at the Olympics as many were (and he evidently was) but if he wants to use that as motivation, why not? Quite a game he had last night...That's still an outstanding team the Celts have, but the always shaky Porzingis situation has to be something of a concern.

Just happy Kerr is not the Celtics head coach, or Tatum may have only played mop-up last night.:)

Even though he's not a Duke alum, he plays with Cam Reddish on JJ Redick's team: Bronny did nothing to show that he deserves to be in the NBA. 3 minutes, 0-2 FGs. Even i could do that.
Duke-NBA teams are 2-0 so far!!!

That was a publicity thing to keep LeBron happy. I'm sure Bronny will go to the G-Leauge soon enough. He needs to get playing time and work on his game. He has talent but really needs to develop it. It's a shame that he is even in the NBA right now. I don't think it is serving his best interests long-term.

Yup. They were unstoppable last night, hitting nearly everything they put up. It’s not going to be that easy most nights. They’re obviously very very good, but no one’s as good as they looked vs NY.

You are one of my all-time favorite posters, Billy, so I hate to give you a hard time about my C’s destruction of your Knicks. But damn, that was something to see! 😉

Go Celtics! 🍀

Crow loudly, my friend. That was an epic beatdown!!!!

I listen to a Knicks-centric pod called "Knicks Film School" and the host (shout out Jonathan Macri) put it very well that the Celtics were sending a message to everyone concerned, "So, you think the Knicks "won the offseason" and are our biggest threat in the East...ok...have some!"

It is kind of amazing how the Celtics play 5 out, and every guy on the team (at least the top 8) shoots the 3 with confidence and no hesitation.

As for me and my expectations for my team, with all the new pieces I have to give them 20 games to see how everything fits together. I'm not saying I'll be happy with 10-10 but 12-8 or 13-7 won't shock or alarm me (ask me that again if they are 12-8).

For sure it won't always be easy, but the Celts really have a terrific defensive team, and a solid bench with Pritchard and Hauser...that should be evident most nights.
