Not unless you opted into the retirement plan.
Even that information may be long gone. Chances are that if there were a pension plan, part time employees weren't eligible, or there was a minimum age requirement for eligibility. Same with a 401(k) plan. In most companies, there is a desire to not retain information longer than legally required. the longer you hold it, the more discoverable information there could be during a class action law suit, for instance.

Generally, time data needn't be held longer than 3 years, payroll data can be deleted after 7 years. Technically, 4 years past the date that tax filing is due. At seven years you are safe even with extended due dates considering some data is from the beginning of a tax year. Also for corporations, fiscal years may differ from calendar years.

How do you pronounce “Georgia” with three?

And fwiw there was no pension plan offerings for part-time or hourly employees at McD’s in the 1980’s — at least not in CT.

Longest line I've ever seen for 1st day of early voting in Florida. No idea what it means. I'm gonna wait a few days. Thought about grabbing a voter's guide from a certain booth, it would make my research a lot easier. If they're fer it, I'm agin it.

I keep coming back to this one thing that SHOULD decide this election in any kind of normal world. It won't impact the 30% MAGA diehard cultists who are incapable of even considering anything anti-Trump. But it should sway the other 18% of Trump voters to either vote for Harris or sit it out. It should, in any kind of normal world, this one thing:

All the men who worked for Trump who are warning our country that he is unfit to serve and is dangerous - Milley, Esper, Kelly, Bolton, Mattis, McMaster, Cobb, Pence, Tillerson, and many more. They know him best. They know what he is capable of. They have warned Americans not to do it. This is so far from normal! Nothing even close to this has ever happened in the history of our country.

How is this not decisive? How have Trump and right-wing media been able to drown out all these warnings? This is serious Nazi Germany-level denial of what is happening... I'm just in shock at how dumb and cruel tens of millions of Americans are being in this moment. It feels like we are on the brink of something truly horrific. I have no confidence that wiser and cooler heads will prevail - they just don't seem to exist in Trump world.

I mean, theoretically when I did dissections in my public middle school in the 1980s I think I removed sexual organs so he has a point...

The questions I ask once again are 1) Are people really dumb enough to believe this moron, 2) If they don't, how are they OK with this, 3) If he is actually right about this, why does it matter? How does it impact their lives? Are they worried about wasting tax-payer dollars on this? But they are OK with spending millions of dollars on Secret Service agents watching Trump play golf, or the amount wasted on defense items that sit collecting dust, or whatever else?

There I go, being logical again...
1) Yes
2) Yes
3) It doesn’t. It doesn’t. No. Yes.
Cults gonna cult.

There's also the issue of whether or not she even had to file a tax return during that time anyway. You have to reach a certain income level to even have to file. If she was working there part-time as a high-school or college teenager, she likely wouldn't have had to file at all. As a dependent, I didn't make enough money to have to file until I got my first real job at age 22.
Agreed with everyone that this is possibly the dumbest nontroversy of all time and it's just pathetic that Trump and his people are scraping the bottom of the barrel so much that they're going with "She's a liar because she can't prove she worked at a fast food restaurant 40 years ago in the analog age."

This purely academic/technical discussion is moderately interesting, though. If anyone, other than the probably now dead franchisee and/or their heirs, may have some record of this, I wonder if it might not be the Social Security Administration. Even if one's not required to file a federal income tax return as a student working part time in fast food, I seem to remember filling out W-4's for summer restaurant, etc. jobs and at minimum having employers pull social security taxes from paychecks. Could be wrong, of course. And I'm not sure if those have employer info on them. But if that is the case, I would imagine the SSA probably has to keep records forever, or at minimum for any given citizen until they're of social security collecting status.

Per the SSA FAQ, W-2's are available from 1978 to present...

Reports of two hour waits today at the local county seat in SOUTH CAROLINA. We're not even a competitive state.

Between Trump and Elon, PA GOP campaigning has become fries, lies and brides. For the Star Trek fans, are we the Mirrorverse? I can't image the other side being this nuts.

Because Trump is killing it with the low info voter. They have no idea who the people are that you listed, not even Pence. And they don’t care. Stuff was cheaper when the orange guy was President. And they’ll show up thinking they are voting for that, above all else.

As someone who has a number of traditional conservative friends and work colleagues who still support Trump (to my deep chagrin), I would say their logic is a combination of:

-Trump’s adherence to policy priorities that they hold near and dear, namely tax cuts, deregulation and shrinking the size of the bureaucracy (though clearly not deficits); they expect advisers to talk him down from massive tariffs post-election

-They fully recognize his character and personality flaws but nonetheless see huge value to his willingness to shake things up inside the Beltway, and aggressively take on the mainstream media, progressive dogma, etc.

As it relates to the threat to democracy, I am as baffled as you are but polls consistently show that it is not a high priority issue for the broader electorate (generally 10% or less of voters) and that those who do prioritize it are split roughly equally along party lines, with Republicans citing “lawfare”, media censorship, etc.
