Serbia is coming off a thrilling quarterfinal game against Australia where they overcame a 24-point deficit and won in overtime. Despite trailing 46-22 with 6:26 remaining in the second quarter, the team rallied to narrow the gap to 54-42 by halftime. Serbia stormed back in the third quarter, outscoring Australia 25-11 to take a two-point lead into the final frame. The two teams pushed each other in the fourth and the Australians would force the game into overtime. Serbia regained control in the extra period, securing a hard-fought 95-90 victory to stamp their ticket to the semifinals.

Nikola Jokic delivered clutch plays on both ends of the floor during the final minutes of overtime and was instrumental in Serbia's comeback victory. With just 1:07 remaining, Jokic sank a high-arching hook shot to take the lead and followed with a one-legged mid-range fadeaway with 25 seconds left, extending their lead to three points (93-90). The versatile big man finished the game with 21 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, four steals and two blocks. Bogdan Bogdanovic also made a noteworthy impact, adding 17 points, six assists, and five rebounds.
