2024 Olympics - Men's Basketball - Gold!

My feeling is that in his prime, Jordan was the best player ever. However, the best career ever is undoubtedly LeBron's. I just don't know how his body has lasted or how he has maintained his intensity for this long. Just marvelous.

First off, the "Curry Flurry" at the end of the Gold Medal game was one of the most exciting happenings I have ever witnessed as a basketball fan. Truly magical stuff.

Onto the topic of potential 2028 team members, I think Kevin Pelton of ESPN did a solid job by not only making an educated guess at the 12 but also a healthy list of runners-up.

The 12:
Bam - 2021 & 2024 Olympian
Booker - 2021 & 2024 Olympian
Tatum - 2021 and 2024 Olympian
AD- 2012 and 2024 Olympian
Embiid- 2024 Olympian
Ant - 2024 Olympian and 2023 World Cup
Halliburton - 2024 Olympian and 2023 World Cup
Paolo - 2023 World Cup team member
Brunson- 2023 World Cup team member
Chet
Maxey
Jalen Williams

Runners-Up:
Scottie Barnes, Jaylen Brown, Cade, Cooper Flagg, D'Aaron Fox, Brandon Miller, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, Ja, Trey Murphy III, Jalen Suugs, Zion

I watched a video on this exact topic last night with Sam Vecenie and Bryce Simon. All these are guys they mentioned. The only one not on here is Lively who I think would be the perfect 2nd big man behind Bam with Paolo as the 3rd big. Granted we are 4 years out I don't think Holmgren is tough enough physically for FIBA.

I love me some Zion and would LOVE to see him representing for Team USA. But if I'm New Orleans (or wherever Zion is come 2028) I would really be anxious.

Good call on the Game Theory pod, I have to check that out. I think Chet has the goods. He and Wemby have already established a FIBA rivalry:
