This is the "We hate Tyler Hansbrough, but we'd love him if he played for Duke" argument. I don't buy it -- there have definitely been Duke players that I did not like, and not the socially acceptable ones to dislike, either.

There would certainly be more fans of Danny Hurley on this board were he our coach (than there are right now), but I'd hesitate to quantify it as "a lot". His Maui Invitational antics and aftermath turned off a significant portion of Connecticut's own board. That's a dour bunch, but you would still think 2 straight titles would cover a lot of flaws.

for good reason. nobody wants *that* representing them....and I certainly would not want that representing my alma mater.

hurley finally took a bit of ownership of his antics in his press conference after the gonzaga game....so credit for that, but far too late.

I’ve actually been listening to field of 68 a decent amount this season and I hate to admit it, but Hansbrough and John Henson are 2 of my favorite guys over there. They are pretty fair in their commentary for the most part, both are very complimentary of Duke this year, which is just plain weird. But of course I HATED Psycho T when he played.

Who are you, and what have you done with kAzE?
 
UNC has 5 losses already with UCLA still on the schedule. If they go 13-7 in ACC play that would put them at 12 losses at minimum. When you have a defense this bad you are basically vulnerable every game. I don't think UNC makes the dance this year.
 
I turned on the Carolina game with about 1 minute left to play only because the Duke announcers mentioned the score was close. Davis had a good look that could have put them up by 1. I was stunned to see the Florida coach on the sideline. I thought for sure they’d let him go when the allegations went public in early November.

Agree, Cheats proudly in NIT with 12 losses. ACC to weak to help em.
 
Doug Gottlieb's coaching gig at Wisconsin-Green Bay is not going well. Lost today at home to Michigan Tech, which isn't a Division One program. Wisconsin-Green Bay is down to #313 in T-rank. Alarmingly uncompetitive.

Edit: Apparently Gottlieb referred to Michigan Tech as Nobody U before the game.
