Whole 22lb turkeys (brined 36 hours), baby back ribs, jalapeno poppers, seasoned green beans, cheesy potatoes, apple pie and other desserts...plus margaritas and bloody Marys
. Usually I will do lots of the cooking ahead of time and reheat, but today everything is being cooked onsite, Including the pie.

Sounds like I picked a bad day to not come to a Duke football game/TBCC tailgate. I am truly jealous of all the good eats, great company, and the fact that y'all will be witnessing the upset in person...oh, and the margaritas - can't overlook those. Rest assured I will be watching the game though. Let's go, Devils!

I'll be setting up between 1 and 2 as I'm waking up in a few hours to get the majority of my Italian menu in the oven then on the road as soon as the coolers are loaded.

Well I didn't expect to be revisiting this thread for a January game that Duke plays in, but here we are.
Copying and pasting from what I've got posted on CTN, anyone is welcome to join us. If not for the food, definitely for the company! IF you are into grabbing some grub (no $ required, but donations always welcome to help with food costs) let me know either in the link or send me a PM.

I've never been to a football game in January. Certainly not one that Duke was playing in. So....this is exciting!!
We'll be setting up a tailgate in the J Lot. This is right across from the stadium, and it's the same lot that our friends the Hard Hat Guys will be in; hopefully we'll be close by if not next to each other. I've secured two spaces, one to park and one for a small grill and our tables. No TV (nothing to watch) but I'll have the tunes jamming.
If you're going, we'd love to have you join us! This is different than one of our regular season games, so there's no specific $ ask for anyone joining us, but if you'd like to contribute it would be appreciated.
With that being said, here's my menu plans for the day!

Anyone going to the Gator Bowl is welcome to come find us to enjoy a taste of Durham and a brew or two, or simply stop by and say hi before heading into the stadium.
I'll have 4 racks of baby backs as well as 20lbs of eastern NC BBQ and chicken wings to share, along with an assortment of beverages. We'll be in the J Lot (across from the stadium) as soon as they open up.
