Every offensive possession is him dribbling for 25 seconds and taking a shot or passing to a teammate in a bad spot. Defensively he gives no effort for rebounds or loose balls. I've been focused on his teammates reactions to his second half so far.

And this is why the NCAAT should not expand further. We're already arguing about whether teams with abysmal (UNC 1-11 Q1) or poor (Texas 6-13 Top-50) records against quality teams should get into the NCAAT. Neither of these teams should really get in. But if one did, it should probably be Texas > UNC. At least Texas has showed more broadly that it can beat good teams. UNC has not really showed this. The fact that it has been very consistent in beating not-good teams does not seem to me a metric worthy of championship consideration.

The only expansion I could see is adding another weekend to allow all in. Work out 3 rounds to go from 320 (or whatever the number is) down to 64, or some such thing. use the conference tournament system as a means to determine some of those byes to 64. Like all semi-finalists or finalists in power 5 or mid major get bye to the 64.

I haven't thought it out with numbers, but conceptually, this is the way I would go.

It could drive more money to spread around for NIL and other stuff

On one hand, if we were to lose tomorrow, I would much rather lose to Wake Forest. On the other hand, beating UNC without Cooper Flagg would be a real salt in the wound to the UNC fanbase.
