I realize this isn’t the crux of your post and you may be right about Jay as it appears you know him better than I. But you ended your post with a Q so I’ll answer it.If there was even a hint that Jay was allowing his personal biases to mix in with his analysis, do you think he would be ESPN's top college hoops analyst and in line to maybe get JJ's old NBA gig as well?
My answer to this question is Yes. ESPN seems to have little problem with folks showing their biases on occasion and sometimes more often than that.
Stephen A’s cowboys rants (which are hilarious to me as a Niner fan) would be my exhibit A.
Fans have biases and I assume ESPN thinks it’s ok to have their anchors show a little bias if they want to…it adds life to the shows. It’s sports news not news news.
