Unfortunately, the number of idiots in the world appears to be growing.
 
Finally got water back on in the Reynolds area this afternoon.15 days without. I am impressed with the City and all those involved in getting water back on to a good part of the community. There's still a lot of work to be done, but this was not an insignificant event. Hopefully the majority of the city will get water very soon.

Contrast this with Spectrum who still hasn't fixed the internet even though we've had power for a week. I wish there were some decent alternatives.

There is a fantastic John Sayles movie called Men With Guns that gets way too little attention. A doctor visits his former students in a fictional South American country and gets caught between the guerilla and government factions and is forced to make an absolutely gut wrenching Sophie’s Choice type decision. Seeing this film really brought home to me how much suffering and misery on this earth simply springs from the deadly confluence of “men with guns.” Or, more precisely, young men with guns.

HIGHLY recommend this movie if you ever get a chance to see it.

Lies have consequences. People’s ability to get needed aid is damaged because of hateful politicians and their idiot cohorts. When people get bent out of shape about stupid videos like the one posted under “dbrtweetz” this is why.

Absolutely disgusting and beneath contempt.

You are in the middle of a huge natural disaster made worse by idiots on a public stage. A little angst/frustration/ disappointment because of it us understandable. Just remember that there are many that are quietly doing what they can to help.
