Duke is now Bowl-eligible at 6-1, but has a tough gauntlet to finish the season. How do we finish?

At least during the last game, almost every handoff looked like a read option mesh, except that Murphy never keeps the ball. It's weird and maybe Murphy just has an unusual handoff style. But if the plays are indeed read options, then that would explain Murphy running as if he kept the ball. It's just that no one is going to be fooled if he never keeps the ball.

The handoffs are definitely something I want to pay closer attention to on Saturday.
As best I can discern they are not read options (because he simply does not run), but are designed to look like them, which frankly is kind of embarrassingly stupid.

I voted 2-3.
I think we find a way to pick up 2 more wins if we stay moderately healthy.
I'd like more. But to win more we'd need a level of Offensive execution and creativity for an entire game, that we have not yet evidenced for a full quarter.

My son goes to USC, and I went to the USC-Maryland game on Saturday. About 80% of USC's plays start with Miller Moss doing an awkward two-handed fake handoff that fools no one.

So they end up with a cement-footed quarterback spending an extra second or two to get back into the pocket before he starts surveying his options.

If you want to make a USC person cry, just mention Lincoln Riley's buyout clause.

OMG yes. By far the dumbest thing that has happened in college football the last fifteen years is this stupid fake where the QB and the RB run a few steps sharing the ball like two little kids with a teddy bear. Even when it's my team, I root for a LB to blast through and blow the whole dumb thing up.

Tell us how you REALLY feel about this. 😊😎

This will certainly affect the NC State game...

He was never going to play again after that terrifying hit he took against Wake. Bailey has an upside but that offense has almost the same amount of challenges as Duke is going through, even if those challenges are different. I assume Manny knew Bailey would be the QB for NCSU.
