How does Duke football finish out? (Poll)

Duke is now Bowl-eligible at 6-1, but has a tough gauntlet to finish the season. How do we finish?

I voted for 2-3 which is more of a 2.5-2.5. Like Cameron I see losses to SMU and Miami, but I also see a possible loss in the last three games due to the defense having a one game let down. Not sure which game will be the loss but at NC State just bothers me a bit.
 
I decided to be overly optimistic and positive and picked 4-1. I think SMU will likely win, but the rest of the games seem winnable. Of course I was also completely convinced at the game Friday that FSU would drive the field and score a TD plus two-point conversion with no time left on the clock. But that's my Miami PTSD talking.

My Miami PTSD sure kicked in a wee bit when FSU lateraled the ball at the very end.
 
Clarifying my "other" vote, I believe we finish out 0-5 and then also lose our bowl game.

The loss of Nicky Dalmolin for the season hurts. I just don't see us winning any more games this year with our offense as poor as it is. And I'm ok with that. Beating UNC at home and FSU at home to reach bowl eligibility - it doesn't get much sweeter than that.

I expected a rebuilding year after all we lost when Elko left abruptly. As far as I'm concerned, Manny and this team have already exceeded my expectations. Anything else they do from here on out is cherries on top of a great rebuild of our program after the Elko departure debacle.

Of course I hope they prove me wrong and win 10 games this season, with 10 being the bowl win. By now I should have probably learned to stop counting this team out. But I'll believe our next win when I see it.

I can see 0-5 to 4-1 so I voted 2-3. Don't assume it's the 2 Big 4 teams that are wins because they are both on the road. Duke almost never plays well at Carter-Findlay, and Wake could easily be fighting for a bowl spot. The gap between Duke and SMU/VT is a lot less than 40-50 spots like most computers say.

I obviously hope you're right. Fortunately for all of us, you know more about football than I know about all sports combined. So the odds definitely are in your favor on this one that you are right.

But what fun are internet forums without predictions to go back on and point out "this post did not age well." So 0-6 is my prediction and I stand by it. We'll see. 😜 Go Duke!

Interesting, thanks. I saw that option originally but not now — maybe it doesn’t let you change it post hoc.

Anyway, I hate to change the rules after folks started to vote. Next time.
