It's hard enough to forget without seeing a Déjà vu in NFL action yesterday (9/15/24)
Kansas City Chiefs vs Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati leading with less than a minutes to go, poised for the big upset; Chiefs final drive has stalled, they're down to a 4th and 16. What do the Bengals do on defense? Yeah, they rush 3 and drop 8, So Chiefs QB Mahomes scrambles around, looking, looking, eventually throws downfield and somehow get a 1st down (this by PI). Chiefs kick the winning FG as time runs out.
Plenty of 2nd guessing today about the Bengals rushing 3 in the final minute with the game in balance.

WOOHOOO!!!! It's rare that I'm thrilled not to have a night game, but I'm getting old and enjoy being in bed before midnight instead of still packing up in a parking lot, lol.
Did the Bengals make a quick phone call to Midnight Mike to get his advice on how to handle such a situation?? I STILL can not believe Duke lost that game to ND. It would have been one of the biggest wins in recent Duke football history, in front of a sell out crown and before a national TV audience.
Yeah, Midnight Mike effectively ended the Cinderella story and began to look for the next dance.

much agreed, especially since my flight the next day requires I arise in the motel at 5 a.m....this I do not like....
Probably still too early for Sagarin ratings; however, after our win oner UConn we dropped five spots to #75. Seven of our eight ACC opponents are ranked higher with Wake Forest being the exception at #84.
Our next opponent, MTSU, is #160.

Sagarin is off due to initial conditions for at least a couple more weeks.
