Blue Devils in the NBA 2024-2025

Wow, 10 Blue Devils scored in double figures last night. That hasn't happened in a while:

Mark W with a 19/19 game for Charlotte. The Hornets traded away his backup and he’s finally healthy. Dude is a beast and easily the most efficient Hornet (although Seth putting up 15 in 17 minutes last night wasn’t bad).

At the risk of utterly embarrassing myself, the guy between Harris and Kon just doesn't look like Stanley Boden to me. Did he get a haircut or something?!?! What am I missing here?

Also, love the way Isaiah is almost hiding behind Tatum.

Wonder where Carter was during this photo. He's the person who is missing here.

Agree. Borden does look different. He definitely got a haircut so that might be part of it. He looks a bit like Crawford Palmer (blast from the past).

We have all read the many stories of Cooper growing up watching tons of Celtics games so this must have been a real thrill for him.

Filipowski had 17 rebounds tonight for the Jazz vs the Zion-less Pels. The Pelicans injuries this year really have been unreal - Ingram and Herb Jones and the rookie big guy Missi out this time.

Mark Williams exploded last night for CHO in their loss to MEM. Mark went for 38 on 14/18 FGs and 10/13 FTs. Mark doesn't shoot 3s (well, he's taken 1 in his 3 NBA seasons). He also grabbed 9 caroms, so he fell just short of a dub-dub. On the season, Mark got off to a slow start due to a pre-season injury that kept him out of action for a while, and so far he has played only 18 games. However, he is now hitting his stride and his season averages are starting to approach or surpass those of last year. He's scoring 15.7ppg, better than the 12.7 from last year, but his rebounding is still down a little from last year, and his FG% is down just a smidge. At this rate, it won't take long for him to surpass his productivity from last year on all fronts.

I don't think I've watched a Hornets game in a couple of years. How does Mark get his points? Are they posting him up at all?

On a per 36 min basis, everything is up for him this year vs last year - points, rebounds, assists, blocks. He's scoring at a 79% higher clip and rebounding at a 23% higher clip than Lively this season pre-injury. Different teams, different systems, but very impressive however you slice it.

i don't watch them either, but youtube had this highlight reel

Williams had the second highest measured standing reach in more than a decade at the Draft Combine. 9-9. That's higher than Edey, Gobert, Mo Bamba. The highest? Tacko Fall at 10-2.

Maluach at 9-8 is right there at the top of the charts. But is he done growing?

Color me impressed with that little floater Williams showed. He has really improved his game. I hope he has the injuries behind him.

GoDuke!

I realize highlights tend to be..,well, highlights, but Mark seems to have really good hands. Reminds me of Robert Parrish. Bird was a great passer but Parrish was always ready to catch a less than perfect pass in stride .
maybe BOS should organize a trade...
...or perhaps should have, when they could have traded Robert Williams...
