JJ Redick loses home in fires as NBA postpones Hornets-Lakers​

Sources told ESPN's Shams Charania that Redick's rental home in Pacific Palisades was one of the structures lost in the biggest of multiple fires raging across the Los Angeles metropolitan area this week.

Redick acknowledged the threat to his home Tuesday before the Lakers' game against the Mavericks in Dallas, saying that members of his family were among those forced to evacuate homes in the area.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr, meanwhile, lost his childhood home in Palisades. Kerr said Thursday his 90-year-old mother, Ann, evacuated and is safe.

The NBA postponed Thursday's game between the Hornets and Lakers because of the wildfires in the Los Angeles area that have claimed over 1,000 structures, including the home of Lakers coach JJ Redick.

And this is why several of us were saying him saying "I'm rookie of the year" in the middle of an early season game was bad karma.

I'm a huge fan of Jared and I hope he gets better soon and returns to how he was playing.

When half your shots are 3-pointers and you shoot 26.8%, chances are dim. Everyone not named Tatum, Porzingus, Holliday was collectively 3 of 25. Celts are not dominating in other areas as well.

Pritchard has regressed some, which is hurting their 3pt shooting. The Kings are playing better since the coaching change - even without Fox last night. Time will tell if that’s a dead cat bounce. Sabonis had 28 rebounds in that game and clearly dominated the paint, esp when Horford was in there.

The C’s will be fine, but they’re going through the midseason trying to repeat but it’s not the playoffs yet doldrums.
