Trump getting a lot of flack about his protecting women comments. He even states that his team told him not to say it’s because it’s inappropriate……He said it anyway and I can only think he has seen the gender gap and is trying to close it. Not sure if it will help.

"I'm going to do it whether the women like it or not, I'm going to protect them."

I just don’t know how we ever come back from all these election fraud claims . The monkey is out of the bottle and I just don’t know how we put it back in. Are we destined to have some sort of large scale attack? Is this what it has to come to? Just overall frustrating.

Regarding the female vote in NC. Women have cast 300,000 more ballots in the early vote than men and their share of the cast ballots is 51.94% to 41.52% with 6.54% listed as "undesignated". This is in an early vote where Rs have cast about 47,000 more early vote ballots than Ds. Unaffiliated voters have cast the about same number of ballots as Ds. Total ballots cast is 3,622,810 through Oct. 30. Total turnout so far is 46.31% Early voting ends Saturday in NC.

And therein lies the problem.

Also - no, he isn't. The changes required to make life safer for women are not things he would be willing to do. I can't say what they are without getting into policy, but the necessary policy changes aren't even on his radar.

There was an ugly battle between Buzz Aldrin and his children 6 years ago over whether or not he had dementia. He is now 94. I doubt a celebrity endorsement will ever affect me all that much, but I would never say never. That said, I do know that the endorsement of a 94 year old celebrity will never affect me, not even when I'm 94.

Is Buzz Aldrin a celebrity? If so, I'd say he's about a "G-list" one.

The monkey is out of the bottle?

If there is a polling error in Trumps favor this election cycle, it would be the assumption that the large amounts of women voters are voting for Harris. A large amount of white women voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020 but apparently went D in 2022. Does that trend continue?
For Harris, the polling error in her favor would be more unaffiliated breaking for her than Trump. A lot of people are assuming he'll get the big boost from the "secret Trump voter" but most polls are already weighted to account for that boost. Also a lot of them are counting the 18-34 year old man, which Trump does incredibly well in, voting more in this election than they have in any other previous election. If they don't show up in large numbers, I think may be harder for Trump to win than people think. I am a proponent of the "Secret Harris Voter" this go around, folks that do not want to answer polls or engage with anything political because they don't want to be accosted or harassed by Trumps more fanatical supporters. They will be the X factor this year.

On a truly lighter note, I was called a f****r today by one of the partisans handing out materials this morning at our early voting location. I wasn't even there to vote, I was just returning materials to the library.
I wasn’t called any names but just seeing the partisans at my polling place forcing their flags or “education” in people’s faces and yelling nonsense caused me to view them all in a negative light. I understand showing support for a candidate or a cause but how does anyone think that accosting anyone is going to help their cause?
