2024-2025 Men’s Basketball Season General Discussion

Is it normal for college basketball announcers to outright cheer for one team? I know it is ACCNx but it is off-putting how they are openly cheering for Syracuse.
 
Drake is for real. It’s amazing how the transfer portal plus a good coach (in this case Ben McCollum who “transferred” himself) can lead to radical changes in a Team’s performance
 
Both Memphis and UConn look really good in their Maui invitational first round matchup. Looking forward to Auburn-Iowa State at 9p. And go Dayton in the game after!! (9f!)

Completely unlike a Hurley to pick up a T in overtime that costs his team the game. I love Bobby Hurley, always will, but his brother is annoying. Could have something to do with him picking up NC titles at an alarming rate.

No doubt, especially after Haggerty fouled out. PJ Carter just decided to, ahem, score all 9 of his points in OT including 6 for 6 from the line. Wild stuff. UConn will be heard from, though. They are tough. As for Memphis, they also look very tough and athletic. There are a lot of good teams in college basketball this year.
 
Speaking of Hurley, it is worth noting that Bobby's boys are 5-1 with their only loss a close game AT Gonzaga. They had a bad 4 point win over Cal Poly over the weekend - ugh - but have otherwise looked the part of a bubble team.

Lucky for them, the brutal beatdown that we laid on them in Cameron was just an exhibition. It would be crushing their advanced metrics otherwise.
