2024-2025 Men’s Basketball Season General Discussion

Re: the Arizona state game, not unlike the Arizona game: maybe we’re pretty good. Both teams look really good against everybody …except us The Arizona game was basically the same as the Kentucky game, except we failed to execute at the end of the Kentucky game. OK we blew the undefeated season, but a one loss season would be pretty good! (on the other hand, will probably lose every game going forward. That should balance the karma…) Go Duke!9f!

Arizona didn't look so great against Wisconsin.

Arizona didn't look so great against Wisconsin.
I didn't watch the game so I don't know how they looked. But when the game was played, Wisconsin was unranked, suggesting it was a bad loss for Arizona. Now Wisconsin is 7-0 and ranked #15 (ESPN) with a win over KenPom #17 Pitt, so a road loss to that squad doesn't seem so bad.

Memphis Uconn was a great game. Hurley was a disgrace. We got the good Hurley, Bobby!!
given that uconn made out like bandits on the weak second half of the double tech with Johnson, Hurley had no reason to complain.

Embarrased for him that he didn't own it. His FRESHMAN was a better leader in that moment than he was.

I get it, I'm a real wanker for saying this. I'm a real wanker for saying this. happens, he cost his team 2 points and should be more accountable to that than his players....but doubling down in the presser....the humor fell majorly flat.

At least he won't need any more ammo for the "they're all against us" chip on his shoulder this year.

Hurley was even worse in the presser his tech helped cost his team the game after fighting back. Embarrassing to keep whining.Geese just give Memphis some credit and move on.Glad for Nolan too,I miss that guy!

Man....I was following at work on the ESPN gamecast and purposely didn't leave until the ESPN probability meter hit 98% for Memphis with under 4 mins to go.

Sounds like an absolutely wild game,

uconn showed what they could be....and what they are right now. if you think duke is a work in progress...whoah-boy...

Duke might beat the uconn team that showed up today by 20.

I admit it at least partially has to do with his success, but I find Dan Hurley verrrrry hard to take. He might be a decent guy when there isn't a competition going on, but he really comes off as jerk when there is.
He certainly sounded like a jerk in the post game press conference. While criticizing the over the back foul on his player, he said something to the effect of “the Memphis player made a half assed attempt to get the rebound.” Yikes! He can be upset about the call but he doesn’t need to be so critical of an opposing player.

REALLY not cool.

Hopefully andrea rips him a new one for being a tool tonight.

Yikes
""I think it was the I'm a real wanker for saying this. I'm a real wanker for saying this. calls," he said, adding, "I would expect to come to play in an event, and I don't know too many back-to-back national championship teams that get that type of a whi"
