Those who know me well know that I cannot speak about Delbert, my childhood pup who was named after an obese corrupt Texas local politician, without getting misty eyed 3 decades later.

I was in the room with him to put him down my senior year of HS. My girlfriend and I were at the time volunteering as leaders with local elementary school groups. She had her class all write notes to me about how sorry they were Delbert was gone. It remains the nicest thing and I think anyone has ever done for me and i literally cannot open that memory box without bawling.

I wish you well in your mourning and I hope there is some peace and happy tears in the joy you shared.
 
Man it is like the Bataan Death March with these people when Duke loses a game. I get so frustrated reading the hot takes about coaching and player failures from people who are the doctors and lawyers and business people. I want to get a lot of those guys in the post game threads a get better card. Oh they aren't sick, but they can get better.

I have been immersed in Gotham City tales of late, so I initially read this as "Batman Death March." I now believe that this should be a Batman series chronicling his training under Ra's al Ghul.

I would watch that. Is there any way they could do something every week or so where they discussed basketball?

you aren't alone. It's a young team being tested, and learning. And, one of them is 17.

I made the point that I like to avoid the boards after a loss and some doink tore into me for THAT. I rest my case. I don't get the hosttility at all.
