NFL 2024-25 General Discussion

Saw that. I didn't watch, so I have no idea how many guys were sitting it out, being meaningless, but regardless, he loaded up his stats.
Any 4 TD game is a good one.
By the box score, it was a 5 TD game for him: threw for 4, ran for 1. But I also don't know how many defensive starters he faced.

The Commanders could pretty easily be sitting at 13-3 and in the hunt for home field advantage had they held onto close games against the Cowboys and Steelers, but they also could just as easily be 6-10 and missing the playoffs as they narrowly escaped the Bears (Hail Mary), Giants (GW field goal), Saints (missed 2pt conversion with no time left), Eagles (Crowder TD with 6 seconds left) and Falcons (OT). It’s certainly been an entertaining season!

Yes, the WFT really turned it around by drafting Daniels. He’s willing the team to all these victories despite a penalty-prone OL and poor D against the run. Funny, my Patriots neighbors still think Drake Maye is the better QB. Time will tell, but Washington has a winner.

We have the Jets to thank for moving us up in draft position.

On the flip side, the Giants pretty much ruined their chance for the #1 pick yesterday. They could also win vs the Eagles next week if they sit everyone and move further down the draft order.

And one other note, clock management in the Washington game was awful yesterday for both teams. Atlanta messed it up at the end of both halves.

I don’t understand how so many teams can be so bad at this. Just hire a guy who’s sole job is clock management.

I’m trying to decide if Miami’s playoff dreams will be crush because KC sits all its starters so Denver wins or the Dolphins blow it against the Jets.

Think I’ll go with “both”.
I'm trying to figure out which players don't play this week. Very important to my fantasy football leagues. The NFL game times look like they were set trying to have as many potential playoff teams play in the early time frames. Saturday has Baltimore vs. Cleveland at 4:30pm. Then Cincy vs. Steelers at 8pm. The Sunday games times: Buffalo vs Baltimore 1pm, Tampa vs NO at 1pm, Washington vs. Dallas at 1pm, Atlanta vs. Carolina 1pm, NYG vs Eagles at 1pm, Jacksonville vs. Colts 1pm (both those games no importance), Chicago vs GB 1pm, Houston vs Tenn (no importance) 1pm, Seattle vs. Rams 4:25 pm (don't know if this game means anything), LA Chargers vs LV 4:25 pm (same here), Miami vs. NYJ at 4:25 pm, SF vs. Cardinals (no importance), Denver vs. KC (very important to Cincy, Denver and Miami), and the game of the weekend, Minnesota vs. weezies, Detroit Lions. First place on the line. Going to be exciting.

GoCommanders!

Yeah from the AFC perspective the networks want Cincy to win the early game and both the Miami and Denver games to go to OT with Denver losing and then the Miami game deciding who makes the playoffs

Not again, guess those of us in Triangle will get Panthers game rather than Washington-Dallas🤬

The way the Dolphins roll is: Denver blows it against KC. And then the Dolphins, with the opportunity right there for them, also blow it against the Jets.

Although it's also our way to somehow get into the playoffs, have to play a road game in cold weather, and get completely blown off the field.

It's just karma until Miami stops celebrating every season when the last undefeated team loses. They can live in the past or strive for the future.

Or maybe get a coach with a brain?

It's actually pretty hard to lose to the Jets, though.
