Well Jaylen Brown won Finals MVP. It would have been nice if Tatum had gotten it, but if Tatum didn’t get it, I’m just glad it went to an ACC guy.

I was hoping Dallas would make the first ever comeback from 3-0, but then realized how devastating that would be for Tatum that I switched my rooting interest. So glad Jayson had a killer game and got the ring. You could tell what it meant to him by the force of his post game hugs!

Tatum led the Celtics in points, rebounds and assists in both the finals and the playoffs. I wonder if any other player has ever done this for the winning team and not won MVP? For that matter, I wonder how many players have done that period.

I understand the love for Luka, but jeebus his defense is absolute garbage

Before this series I put him in the Harden/Westbrook tier of ball dominant guards who don't play a lick of defense and would never win a championship being the best player. I am sticking to that. He wines too much and doesn't want to put in the work on the defensive end. There are several guys I would take over him right now.

Oddly enough, both Luka and Kyrie seemed to play better D against Denver and Minnesota. Maybe they were just happy to be in the finals? Maybe they were exhausted? I get that Luka doesn’t play great D during the season, but he as pretty good earlier in the playoffs.

I think he is also really beat up. Sucks for a guy who is younger than Cormac Ryan - true, look it up - but he looks pretty worked for a 25 year old. Maybe something to do with being pro since he was a mid-teen? Or just his game which is pretty physical?
