Has Khaman's "regression" coincided with Jon switching 1-5 with him on the floor? I don't know. But we may see an adjustment back to hedge and recover to keep Khaman closer to the basket. I'll watch for that tonight.

Also, we've moved away from looking for Khaman on the lobs in the PNR action. Kon and Cooper have had games where they fed him a steady diet of dunks at the rim. Are teams just defending him better? I hope to see at least a couple of those lob dunks tonight.
Should have stopped switching early on in first half vs Clemson in my opinion . Needed more zone as well due to foul trouble

I don't think concerns regarding Maluach are entirely unfounded. Over his last 5 games, he's averaging 3.8 ppg and shooting 44% from the field and 47% from 2pt range. For a guy who takes nearly all of his shots at the rim, that's a fairly rough percentage, and the scoring output is less than half of his season average. His TS% is 47.7% in that stretch, which is quite low. He's had a negative BPM in 3 of the 5 games, and a BPM below 4 in the other two. And offensively, his OBPM has only topped 0.6 once in the 5 games, with 3 of them well below zero. It's a pretty fair assessment to say that he's struggling a bit at the moment.

That said, it's also simply a reality of his game at the moment. Despite being a quite good FT shooter, it appears that he's not given the freedom to create his own shots. We're talking about a guy who rarely dribbles. Guys like that are going to be limited to dumpoffs, putbacks and lobs. And right now it seems that teams are protecting against the lobs.

It's also just a five game stretch, so hopefully it's just a bump in the road. But it's a legit concern for the time being. We could really use him returning the 7+ BPM guy he has been for much of the season.

Officials: Eric Lewis, Jeb Hartness, Mark Schnur.

Duke MBB is 4-0 with Lewis (Incarnate Word, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame, Wake Forest) and 1-0 with Schnur (Boston College). This is the first Duke assignment for Hartness.

So which one is sucking the most tonight. They got an interesting whistle . Like proving a point . Jon may lose it in the second half. Maybe not .He is a better person

So I've been wondering about this for awhile, so I'm going to ask......

What is it that I keep hearing get called out on every possession, it sounds like someone keeps calling out "three", or maybe it's "free".
At first I though I was just hearing it at home games, but I've also heard it during the away games.

Is somebody calling out a play? But if that was the case, it doesn't seem like it would be the sane word everytime.
Does anybody know what I'm hearing? Is it Jon?

there was a post that identified the "caller". Duke bench. Lets the team know how much time is left. First "three" call is about 10 seconds left on the shot clock
