MBB: Duke 96, Maine 62 Post Game Thread

I'm wondering if he's going to play this year. Getting a DNP in the opener (which will be one of the easiest games on our schedule) doesn't bode well for his PT this year. If he is a healthy scratch against Army, that won't be a good sign.

Was it confirmed he was a healthy scratch? Foot injuries on bigs aren't something to mess around with. I suspect he's still being held out for health reasons. Scheyer keeps saying they want to get him back on the court, and I see no reason why they would considering redshirting him. Right now, we have no recruited center for the next season, so once he is cleared to play, I see no reason why he shouldn't get some playing time. Any experience is valuable.

Does anyone know why he wears the glove?

During the broadcast they said something vague about a hand injury that was healing, and that the glove was to prevent setbacks in the healing process.

Khaman Maluach spoke about it -- vaguely -- in a locker room interview with The Devils Den after the Lincoln exhibition game.

The video's title says "hairline fracture", but Maluach never says anything more specific than a hand injury.

That seems low considering the local nickname for the northern suburb Fox Point is “lox point” but Milwaukee is decent sized and the suburbs I’m talking about aren’t densely populated.
I had a few Duke friends who were Jewish and from Wisconsin, but I think the basic, irrefutable fact is that Jews don't like milking cows and I'm standing by that.

I prefer Gilles' custard... Wisconsin's oldest custard stand, and the one located only a few blocks away from K2's high school (Wisconsin Lutheran).
had to jump in on this reply. Yes, they are all great choices though. If posters have not been to Milwaukee for a custard tour it is one of the hidden culinary gems of the USA. Very few people talk about it but yeah...so good.

On the food chain discussion. There is a donut store just outside the Dayton airport, old lunch counter style. Apple fritters ...wow. Old school place.

Very nice Taco choices in Manassas VA but terrible ones in Charlottesville. In fact, terrible choices there.

DC metro for good Ethiopian and Vietnamese Pho.

Back to custard...you can't go wrong with any of those bug Giles is neat.
