MBB: Duke 83, Cuse 54 Post-game Thread

Building an early lead enabled us to work in a deeper bench, giving those guys some experience and increasing the probability that the team will be rested for the Clemson game.

for whomever said we wouldn't alter minutes... Jon did hold to his talk about limiting Cooper and Kon in a big way. Backed off the minutes from the last game, a luxury

Two guys on our team who are just flat out ballers: Sion and Maliq. Can't say enough good things about these two.

My three favorite plays:
  1. Man Man's volleyball spike leading to Isaiah's slam
  2. Cooper's dunk going around their 7-footer
  3. The one play where we ran a passing clinic and Maliq scores the reverse layup. The ball barely touched the ground, and it evoked the San Antonio Spurs golden era.
I loved those plays too and would add:
4. Another passing clinic where the ball came to Ngongba in the paint, he took one dribble, and whipped it to Isaiah Evans in the corner for a three.

Great overall game by Evans. He contributed in a number of ways and played within the flow of the offense. He didn't just automatically shoot it when he caught it and end the possession. For me, how he played tonight is how he earns a major role on this team and consistent minutes.
I saw 1 maybe 2 blocks and some assists. And that DUNK! While he’s still rail thin and doesn’t seem quite as tight/intuitive as Kon I have noticed he plays hard on both ends of the floor consistently. We’ll probably need a huge game out of him somewhere down the stretch run

Probably our most enjoyable game of the year. Lots of guys got in on the action.

Jon was super creative with our lineups. We even had Pat and Khaman on the court together for a few minutes.

That was Isaiah's most well rounded game of the season.

Maliq was terrific. Loved his dunk after his classmate Taylor grabbed him on the flagrant 1.

If Tyrese and Kon can play like they have the past two games, we won't lose. Let's keep it rolling!

For a short stretch Man-Man, Brown and Coop were all on same time. Later Brown and Gnongba were in together. Experimenting?
