That was fun
Building an early lead enabled us to work in a deeper bench, giving those guys some experience and increasing the probability that the team will be rested for the Clemson game.
I loved those plays too and would add:Two guys on our team who are just flat out ballers: Sion and Maliq. Can't say enough good things about these two.
My three favorite plays:
- Man Man's volleyball spike leading to Isaiah's slam
- Cooper's dunk going around their 7-footer
- The one play where we ran a passing clinic and Maliq scores the reverse layup. The ball barely touched the ground, and it evoked the San Antonio Spurs golden era.
I saw 1 maybe 2 blocks and some assists. And that DUNK! While he’s still rail thin and doesn’t seem quite as tight/intuitive as Kon I have noticed he plays hard on both ends of the floor consistently. We’ll probably need a huge game out of him somewhere down the stretch runGreat overall game by Evans. He contributed in a number of ways and played within the flow of the offense. He didn't just automatically shoot it when he caught it and end the possession. For me, how he played tonight is how he earns a major role on this team and consistent minutes.
Totally agree. I think he had 3 assists tonight as an added bonus.Great overall game by Evans. He contributed in a number of ways and played within the flow of the offense. To pick some nits, he needs to practice his free throws. . . .That was quite the display by Brown. He was just everywhere. Backtaps, deflections, steals. Just a menace. I love watching him so much. Just a savant out there.
Oh, and the rest of the team was fun to watch tonight too.
Evans... 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists, and 1 block.Totally agree. I think he had 3 assists tonight as an added bonus.
Thanks for the correction. So much for the "one trick pony". Hopefully this will continue on into the future.Evans... 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists, and 1 block.

Sitting by myself alone in my living room, that play evoked an “Oh, my!” From me.#3 was poetry in motion. So pleasing to watch as a fan of the game of basketball.
I think that's the play where the broadcast crew said that everyone else on the floor should receive credit for a 1/4 assist on the play.Sitting by myself alone in my living room, that play evoked an “Oh, my!” From me.
How did he score 26 on us last year?Yes, he can’t shoot at all. Everywhere else he is a joy to watch.
Four-trick pony?Evans... 10 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists, and 1 block.
I just looked at replays of that game. Mostly inside shots, he had 5 slams. He did hit one 3. He was just much more of an offensive focus for Syracuse than he is for us.How did he score 26 on us last year?
I had the same thought. Must be shots at the rim... I can't remember and don't have the energy to back and watch that game. How did he score 26 on us last year?
