The petite or the haute?I struggled with only 1 class in college: the bourgeoisie.
KK Sr. is a school counselor at a Milwaukee public school. I think you’d be comrades.I struggled with only 1 class in college: the bourgeoisie.
And is, potentially, Rookie of the Year in the NBA!To be fair, though, McCain was an elite rebounder for a medium-sized guard.
Can you take this KK pissing contest offline?Really!?!
I have been trying to de-escalate with you and you pull this happy horse. Talk about negativity. If you want to be Kon's biggest cheerleader, go wild. That's your opinion which you are entitled to and I respect that. Other posters are entitled to their opinions, even if they don't align with yours.
You think Kon is great. Wonderful! I am super happy for you. I think Kon has tremendous potential with some possible challenges to reaching greatness this season. I have made two errors in dealing with you. The first is pushing back on your wildly inaccurate statements. Who am I? The Kon police? I apologize for that and will not be doing that anymore. The second is not being clear that I am not down on Kon, but more wait and see. My first mistake significantly compounded the second.
Even though we are online, I do believe we can disagree in a more civil manner. I apologize for my part in lowering the discourse.
I have it from a reliable source that he already isAnd is, potentially, Rookie of the Year in the NBA!

As for Evans, are we really doing this? Really? After last season when we clamored all year for Stewart/Power, only to see them struggle in their new homes this year? Jon knows more than us considering he watches these guys all week at practice. And even if that wasn’t the case, what would Evans have done yesterday that Kon or Sion didn’t? If we take Kon off the court, they start keying on someone else, and I wouldn’t give Sion’s minutes to ANYONE the way he’s playing. I know message boards always love to clamor for the guy off the bench, but for that to be a main talking point after a huge win flabbergasts me.
Nah. If we beat Kansas by 18 points there will be negative Nellies out here wondering when Player X didn't get more than X minutes.Tuesday can't come soon enough for this discourse
Banter is fine. Even pointless banter. It's when it gets to the "repetitive rant" level we start to discourage it. Make a point, defend it for a bit, then agree to disagree. Thx!Yes, we're really doing this. It is an internet discussion board, after all. I mean, this is basically why these things exist in the first place, so we can engage in pointless banter about things like sports and games and whatnot.
EDIT: And funny cats... how could I forget the funny cats?
In the second half, after his made threes, Kon actually took a couple of dribbles to the top of the lane, drawing a second defender, and passed to Cooper for a three. So I think he's learning just fine.Kon can use any kind of screen plus his strength to reliably get past his defender and into the lane at will. The problem against these two good defenses has been what happens next.
So far it seems like he's either lobbing to Khaman or driving hard at the rim. But he's shown against other teams he has a nice pull-up jumper. He also needs to get comfortable with kicking it out to shooters.
Jon seems to have loads of confidence in him. I think he will get there. Both he and Cooper will only get better.
<sarcasm> I know he’s only 18, but when he dribbles, the Nike logo on the ball isn’t facing the right direction, and his haircut is cropped a little too long by Wisconsin standards. And he probably fuels up at Love’s instead of Kwiktrip. He’s so overrated. </sarcasm>In the second half, after his made threes, Kon actually took a couple of dribbles to the top of the lane, drawing a second defender, and passed to Cooper for a three. Hard to be hated in a major way when you're one and done.Cooper is too undeniably good and emotionally contained to draw the same level of ire expended on Hurley, Laettner, JJ, Grayson, etc…
I would like to play Evans minutes in every game now, so that he's a solid contributor by February. As for Evans, are we really doing this? Really? Quite the stat here -Here's Brian Geisinger's interesting analysis of how Duke's defense was so effective last night: https://briangeisinger.substack.com...ect=true&utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email
Brian writes some great stuff and it's free.
It's only been a couple of games, but I can't remember watching a player with so much anticipation about how he was going to poke or deflect the ball or otherwise disrupt a play. As soon as his man gets the ball - especially if he tries to dribble - it almost feels like a coin flip whether Maliq will get a finger on it.Quite the stat here -
In the 101 minutes with Brown on the floor this season, Duke has allowed a minuscule 77.4 points per 100 possessions and an effective shooting rate of 36.6 percent, according to CBB Analytics.
