How does Duke football finish out? (Poll)

Duke is now Bowl-eligible at 6-1, but has a tough gauntlet to finish the season. How do we finish?

If offense surprises and gets restructured 3/2
But Taylor TE needs to step up
Brewer needs to create better pass routes for the receivers
2-3 is my guess but with better passing game
3-2

For those who care about such things, Espn's Bill Connelly ranks our post game win percentage vs Fsu at 36.5% which is second lowest for any winning team in week 8.

They can but I think Duke has to instill in the minds of the defense at least the threat of a Murphy run. Murphy doesn't have to run more than once or twice a game but something has to change. If the coaching staff makes this adjustment, I think Duke can get 3 more wins.

I think I recall Murphy being flushed out of the pocket once and started running along the line of scrimmage... incomplete pass? Main thing it wasn't a sack or turnover. So he actually can "run" a few steps. :) Enough to get the defense thinking "hmmmmm"

I can see 0-5 to 4-1 so I voted 2-3. Don't assume it's the 2 Big 4 teams that are wins because they are both on the road. Duke almost never plays well at Carter-Findlay, and Wake could easily be fighting for a bowl spot. The gap between Duke and SMU/VT is a lot less than 40-50 spots like most computers say.
DBR is off its game--unless we all have relatives from a small town in NW Ohio. Carter-Finley is the correct spelling.

I'm not sure there's much point in letting us vote more than once.

At Target today met an attractive blonde that had Princeton and Duke decals on her car. I had an old Duke National 3 titles
91/92 2001.
She said my boyfriend plays football for Duke. I immediately knew it was Ozzie Nicholas. Encinitas CA is one of the best places in the USA where he grew up. She hopes they will eventually live there. He may be a good NFL player.

Ozzie must have already voted, because I see one vote for 5-0.😁
I was the fourth 5-0 vote this morning! Glad to see I’m winning over some convert to my way of thinking!

I’m ready for a change at QB, even if it’s only for a few series during the game and they alternate. Both Belin and Loftis had success last year until injured.

Murphy does run, without the ball after each handoff. It is weird. Perhaps someone can explain to me the point of that.

I'm going with 2-3, but more injuries could jeopardize that. With a bit of luck I could see 3-2, but we need to beat SMU to make that possible.

2-3 seems reasonable, and given that NCSU and Wake are in a similar spot, its not inconceivable for Duke to beat both of them (but they could win as well). I don't even consider SMU as a possibility. If we had a functional offense, maybe, but as it is they'll just outscore Duke and we won't be able to keep up. Miami is also going to be difficult but they've looked real vulnerable the last few weeks. Duke would have to play incredibly well to pull that off. Hard to say about VT. 0-5 seems almost as unlikely as 5-0. Personally I'd like to see Duke at 8-4 with wins over NCSU and WF.

You 5-0 folks are not optimists. The real optimist is the lone individual (not me, I am not sure who it is) who voted for "other."

Now, some of you may think "other is a vote for 0-5. But, no... You see, if Duke goes 5-0 over its next 5 games it will most assuredly be in the ACC championship game (likely against Clemson). So, the "other" voter is actually picking 6-0 as Duke's remaining regular season record.

For shame, Ozzie... someone has surpassed you!
