Duke travels to Raleigh to take on the Wolfpack this coming Saturday afternoon looking to break a two game losing. State is favored by three points.

Shocked there are no replies yet so here goes. State will be a tough game for us. Doeren always does enough at the end of the season to keep his job. Not sure what injuries we sustained at Miami. Getting Pickett back on the offensive line would be good. I don’t see State having near the talent that Miami has. So cautious optimism here. The offense seems to improve weekly which is a great trend. Despite the many naysayers on this board Murphy is always just one throw away from a touchdown. Twenty so far this year is pretty darn good. Wonder how Jordan Waters has enjoyed his year at State with their very disappointing season. I think Thomas has done a good job of replacing him in our lineup. Neither are really speedy, but both are hard runners. Finally just glad we are back to playing State regularly. Historically we have had some really exciting games agains State going back the fifty plus years I have watched Duke football.

Support U.S. Armed Forces will collect items at the Lowes Food Fan Zone, located on the Lenovo Center's South Plaza between PNC Arena and Carter-Finley Stadium, before the game. Ticket holders are asked to bring common paper items such as paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue, Zip-loc bags, trash bags, and paper plates.

My feeling is that we have been terrrible in the 4th quarter on the road in the ACC. State had been bad at home until the Stanford game. So if the game is close at going into the 4th, then we probably lose. I think the game will be close going into the 4th but State is State…

Rule #1: State never does anything right. Example: You would be optimistic if you drew a team in the ACCT that really struggled with Louisville.
Stanford is making a hard push to join MTSU/Elon territory in the computer rankings. The Pack is not the same team that struggled with WCU and got hammered by Clemson and TN. Bailey seems to have come into his own, but Duke's defense is new challenge.

I feel the same about State and this game. State fans feel like this is a very disappointing season. Closing with wins over Duke and UNC would make us feel a bit better.

Agree. No shame in losing to Miami, but a loss to State would hurt. Need to get a win here.

If coaches were included in NIL, I suspect Coach Doeren would be sponsored by Melatonin

Based on most predictions we have already exceeded expectations being bowl eligible. But having won 6 games our expectations have grown as the season has progressed. One more regular season win would have to be considered a really good record considering where we were in April. Two more regular season wins would be excellent. A 9-3 regular season would be fantastic and a great step for Coach Diaz and the program toward competing for ACC championships. Let’s go get win #7!
 
Do we know whether Justin Pickett is out for this game? Our offensive line was the thinnest position on the team headed into the season but have exceeded expectations. But losing a starter is never good.
