Coach Redick deserves his own thread.

how say y’all?

Coach Redick has his own thread, and you started that one too.

I understand the logic of starting a new Redick thread for the 2024-2025 season, but realize that a lot of the LeBron/Bronny management discussion from the old thread would just be rehashed here, under the message board rule that anything worth saying is worth repeating over and over again.

AGDukesky: Quin Snyder and the rest of the Duke coaches in the pros (Mike Brey, Antonio Lang, Amile Jefferson, Dahntay Jones, Lindsey Harding, David McClure, Chip Engelland, and Steve Wojciechowski) are covered, with the players, executives, and staff, in the Blue Devils in the NBA thread.

So JJ and the Lakers are in the playoffs this first year. I'm not an NBA guy, but I keep tabs on the success of our past players. JJ's done OK for himself, and seemingly through defense. Go figure!

IT WAS AROUND this time that former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski sent a text to his former player, first-year Lakers head coach JJ Redick, to check on him. Krzyzewski had always watched NBA games, but he'd been paying especially close attention to the Lakers this season.

"I reached out to him and said, 'Who the hell would've predicted you could teach defense?'" Krzyzewski joked.

Cam Reddish no longer on a team unless he got picked up on waivers

As a Lakers fan, I was aghast when we hired JJ. In hindsight it was probably the 2nd smartest move this front office has made (the first was nurturing the Nico relationship for many years for fleecing purposes.) JJ is super smart, making strategic changes during and between games, unlike our recent coaches who responded in geologic timeframes.

Jon Scheyer could use a little more anger during time outs. I unfortunately watched Houston meltdown after NBA games on TruTV. Got to learn from this terrible loss. Inbounds play like Houston game must never happen again .
