ACC Football: Week 7 (10/12)

I feel your pain. I walked out and left the UNC at Duke game with UNC up 20 and us having a 97.5 % chance to lose per ESPN. I did hear it on the radio while my wife was driving me home. And yes the tailgate was good!
Okay…I also left that game shortly after halftime and went to the WaDuke. And yes, I was disappointed that I didn’t see it live, but the crowd at the WaDuke was pretty raucous, especially at the end. And I take partial credit for that win as well, since I left the stadium.

Carolina losing was hilarious and all, and I wouldn't have it any other way...

But it would have been better for Duke for them to win, because we have tiebreak over them, and GT has tiebreak over us.

Knowing that,... I'm glad the heels lost the way they did. We'll just have to win out and avoid the tie. :)

So I'm checking the ESPN College Football webpage for score updates, right? And I click on the ACC games, right? And the first two matchups I see listed are Stanford at Notre Dame and California at Pittsburgh. Wait. What? I said I was looking for ACC scores, right?

I may never become accustomed to this new age stuff . . .

Reading IC definitely worth some time and a beer.

This is an example of a fun post, but there are so many more good ones:

"Fire all the football coaches and staff immediately to freeze the money being spent on their salaries. Liquidate all assets associated with the football program. Redirect all that money into NIL and use it to recruit a big man in time for tip off of our first basketball game."

Somehow this is easier for me to digest than Washington, Oregon, UCLA and USC in the Big Ten.

Well maybe not Southern Methodist.

Did anyone notice the number of times GT players had a mysterious injuries (and quick recoveries)? A couple times two players started to have injuries until one noticed that his teammate had one. Did they recruit ole miss transfers (or a coach)? These were actually pretty obvious fakes (IMO).

Gameday actually addressed the flopping this morning. In this case...blind eyes work for me.

LOL I just now saw the 68 yard run with 16 seconds to go.....no doubt Mack was planning the OT strategy at the time. Gotta love it. Gonna go to IC for a few while I sip on my adult beverage

So, they realize they are in a doom loop not only in football 🏈 but in basketball 🏀 as well?

Do we really need Notre Dame in the conference?

I’ve actually begun to get used to the idea of playing SMU Cal and Stanford. Maybe it’s just what’s new is new. Hard to put my finger on it, but for some reason, I’m intrigued by the prospect of watching Pitt play Cal. National exposure for Duke football is a good thing. Notre Dame on the other hand can go wankerize themselves.
