The Mets should bring Darling out of the booth to pitch this game and save their arms. Game was on a big screen in my office lobby so I snuck away to watch most of the end, surrounded by a lot of Mets fans (I like the Yanks).

Certainly no reason to use Severino or Diaz. Bullpen game, with Butto as the opener asked to go four, is my guess.

There was some talk about bringing up Tidwell for this scenario, but whoever the Mets sent down to create a spot for him would be lost for 15 days, so it didn’t happen.

Insane, intense game 1. And a ho-hum "let's not get anyone hurt" game 2. Split sends both Mets and Braves to the playoffs. DBacks have to be sort of mad at that game. But Mets were correct to play ot that way.

Not much confidence in the Bravos going out west for a quick turnaround, especially with no Sale. But I'm impressed with Snit for rallying the troops and guiding them to a solid season. There have been rumors about him retiring , but I hope not.
