It’s a bit different. The Letter was a hit for the Box Top. Many of the songs were associated with other artists before hit. Elvis’s songs were many written for him.so were elvis presley’s. you don’t have to be the song WRITER.
Debated mentioning it here, both because of the "kinda" aspect and because the Hall can go to hell.kinda. Whatever the Musical Influence Award is. But I guess he's in, which is something.
