The less said about last week’s non-conference play, the better. What a bloodbath. This week is a little slower, particularly midweek, with teams playing they typically lighter exam week schedules, although there are some interesting matchups (I won’t even be so optimistic as to say chances for important wins) on the horizon.

Big weekend coming up for NC State..Kansas has dropped 2 but has a week to figure out why. Louisville gets to try KY in classic grudge match.

Based on the Duke game, I'll look for Louisville to beat KY if they can keep out of foul trouble and keep "fresh" till the end. How cool would that be???

Miami kept it respectable against #1 Tennessee, ultimately losing by 13. They had it down to 8 with a couple minutes left. At this point I think that's the most we can hope for from the rest of the conference.

So 14-44 against the P5?
Yikes.
So the SEC debacle was only slightly below average performance then.........(yes I'm exaggerating, but not as much as you'd think...)

UVa down 21-18 at the half. TJ with 0. Setting bball and the ACC back 50 years with a dismal display of what cannot be called basketball.
The Hoos went on a 25-4 run over the final 9+ minutes to turn what looked like a potential disaster into a somewhat ok win.

TJ Power ends the game with 10 minutes of playing time. He missed his only shot from the field (a 3) and had 1 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block. He had been starting earlier in the year, but is now really only on the back end of the rotation. His struggles given what he looked like as a high school player are really stunning. I truly hope the dude can find a bit of his AAU mojo again.

Power is playing on average 14 minutes a game. After 10 games, he has 1 two point basket. He's 1-6. He's 6-23 from three. That's a total of 7 buckets in 140 minutes.

I too hope he finds his game.

I always thought UVA was a weird fit for him. I just don’t see how he fits into their system, at least the Bennett version. Put Power on NC State or, God forbid, the Smurfs and he’d fit right in.

Yeah he's 6'9, a defensive liability, and a non factor on offense right now. You're right that he'd fit right in!

There are no college students at the Clemson game. The student section was empty until elementary students who came in about 5 minutes into the game.

Weird that the main page is so negative on SMU going against LSU this afternoon; the Mustangs are 11 spots higher in the NET rankings and the game is in DFW (but not at home).
