NC State watched our horrid three point shooting last night and said, "Hold my beer" 😜
First game I have seen where a team, and my team of all things, went 0'fer on 3pt shots. Especially bad against an underwhelming opponent. Fun fact, an old Wake guard, Justin Gray, was the coach of CC. He was at Wake with Chris Paul.

They ran out of those, I think they were using nerf balls. KK teams are very frustrating to watch ...sometimes.

I know, I know, this is DBR ... but I still have a not-totally-frivolous suggestion for thread naming that everyone should nevertheless feel free to ignore. Given that the titles of weekly football threads have evidently become standardized as "ACC Football: Week xx (mm/dd)", can we maybe morph the BB weekly threads to something similar? This came to me as I was browsing new posts in this thread and I saw the previous which identified the two Techs as outside the top 100 and I thought "surely not, both teams have had some impressive football wins". It took some upward scrolling for the penny to drop. That is all.

Heads up reminder that Clemson’s playing @ Boise St, on CBS SN right now. You can catch a glimpse of Christian Reeves, #14. He’s played briefly. His teammate, 6th-year superior senior Chase Hunter, already has 15 points with 5 minutes to go in the 1st half.

Clemson’s Chase Hunter with a 3/4 court dribble (4.5 seconds left) to the basket for layup at the horn. Reeves, presumably inserted for this drawn-up play, did his job, screening the final defender to allow Hunter a clean layup. Excellent plan by Brownell, perfectly executed by speedy Hunter, nice screen by Reeves.

I think Brownell is a good coach and gets all he can out of talent. And he broke the 0 - forever. Clemson curse at Chapel Hill !!! Did he do it twice ? I know he broke it. For that we forever owe him !!!

Yes, he did it twice, in January 2020 and February 2024. Clemson will play UNC once this regular season, at Littlejohn Coliseum (just two days after they play Duke, also at Littlejohn).

Put Reeves in. He’ll save the ACC’s OOC record.

Perhaps not. If Clemson loses, I guess it won’t be a horrible loss?
Not horrible, in the sense that Clemson was #45 playing at #51, so not like losing to a bad team at home, but horrible in that they lost fairly badly.
