Whether he accomplishes it during the regular season is, IMO, immaterial. What matters to me is the fact that Kon has demonstrated, in a contest against a power conference opponent, his capacity to score an entire game's worth of points in a span of time less than the interval between media timeouts. As a result, Duke's opponents will need to respect his potential and prepare to defend him more closely than they might otherwise have anticipated, which means that his teammates will likely be afforded that much more space in which to take shots and make plays. The threat alone is enough to force a defensive adjustment that should benefit Duke.
