Kyle Singler does not seem well

Kyle Singler posted this this IG and he clearly has something going on in his life.

In case it’s gone by the time you see this, he’s standing shirtless in a room with no furniture, a bright light casting him in silhouette, saying that he’s not valued and his voice is being silenced, that “my community is f*cked”, that he’s been mistreated and abused, neglected, “made into a mental example”, and “I fear for my life, everyday”.

Hopefully the wide and powerful Duke basketball community can help this all time great get back on solid mental ground.

Whoa. 😳. Hope he gets some help. Sounds severely troubled and / or on something.

Wow. I hope he is OK. Hopefully he will take a call from K, Scheyer, or someone else at Duke. He made over $20 million in the NBA. A number of players have trouble transitioning to life after the NBA as basketball has been their whole life and now they have no basketball and no structure. I know the league has some programs in place but they really could do more.

Not only does Kyle sound bad, he also looks bad. He was a solidly built young man when he played at Duke and in the pros, but he looks skinny in that video. He seemed to be slurring his words. I think he said he feared for his life and that's scary. As someone mentioned, I hope he Duke community/brotherhood can get Kyle some help.

Prayers
GoDuke!

I saw that Jose Fonseca from the basketball program reached out to him in the comments, as did Kevin Love. Hopefully someone with the program has a better way to get in touch, as I assume, at this point, everyone who needs to know has seen the video.
Here's hoping Kevin Love can reach the young man. I've been absolutely struck by how open and honest Love has been about his personal mental health struggles. It isn't something often discussed in those circles. Kyle may be able to relate to Kevin's own journey.
