Final Four in San Antonio

My wife and I went to the 2018 Final Four in San Antonio and had a great time - except for the games. I hope you Get great seats. Basketball games should never be played in football stadiums. The only way we could watch the game action was on the video boards, and we were a long way from those. San Antonio is a fun town and you'll have a good time with all the fans there for the games. We stayed in a hotel Right across the street from the Alamo and it was within easy walking distance to the Alamodome - And quite a few bars along the way. good luck and have a great time.

I watched our national championship game in 2010 from the highest of the high seats in a football stadium. I brought binoculars and had a great time enjoying the victory in person. Yes it was a different type of atmosphere and viewing situation (at least I was mid court), but still wouldn't trade it and glad I got the opportunity to witness in person which I probably wouldn't have gotten in a smaller stadium.

I went back to Lucas Oil in 2013 to witness our defeat to Louisville in much better seats (they oriented the court differently for that and capacity was "only" 25,000 or so) and let's just say the despite a much more intense atmosphere, I didn't have as good of a time...

Funny how the outcome can certainly change one's perspective!

I also witnessed the defeat to WVu in 2008 in person in DC...those are the only 3 NCAA Duke games I've been to. All very different.

I will see you there with my three. Pretty good luck with the lottery. 9 out of the last 15. Wish the Devils did half as well.
 
I watched us lose to UConn in Tampa from the top of the upper deck in left field. The court was about 6” long and the players looked like ants. And the video board in center field was at such a sharp angle that I couldn’t watch it. Miserable night all around. I’ve been to my last big stadium game.

Understand. I was In Dallas and couldn’t really see squat. It is still a great experience.
 
Was looking forward to seeing them here in phx last year but some big kid from Raleigh decided to develop a magical forearm shove hook shot that couldn’t be stopped. Congrats on the tix — San Antonio should be fun — hope Duke will be there!
