Perhaps we were both wrong.I was thinking it was a mistake to hold onto the ball that long. Maybe I was wrong.
This made me chortle.Murphy certainly went through his progressions on that last play.
He sure had time to, but it also certainly felt like slow motion.Murphy certainly went through his progressions on that last play.
For sure. He can be very frustrating to watch, but is an elite arm talent who can make any throw at just about any time. The young man also seems to have a lot more mental toughness that Duke fans generally give him credit for. When Murphy is good, he's very, very good!

9 wins with our only losses being to 3 very good teams, 2 of whom we led against in the fourth quarter and the other we could have beaten in OT.Amazing, what a comeback, what a year! It waa rarely pretty or relaxing but 9 wins - wild!
It is a possibility. We deserve to be ranked. Will we slip into the Top 25 at 9-3?
Couple games go our way I could see it!Will we slip into the Top 25 at 9-3?

Unorthodox to say the leastFor sure. He can be very frustrating to watch, but is an elite arm talent who can make any throw at just about any time. The young man also seems to have a lot more mental toughness that Duke fans generally give him credit for.
If Texas A&M loses, drops out and we slip in, well, that would be Christmas come early for us sports hate grinders.Hard to say. Someone else has to fall out of the top 25.
The only CFP ranked teams to lose are #2 Ohio State, #12 Clemson, and #17 Tulane. Maybe Tulane falls more than 8 places, but even if they do, the team that beat them (Memphis) has more votes in the AP and Coaches Polls than Duke, and might just replace them in the CFP.
The most likely candidates to drop out of the CFP top 25 -- if they lose later today -- are #20 Texas A&M (hosting #3 Texas at 7:30pm on ABC) and #24 Kansas State (playing at #18 Iowa State at 7:30pm on FOX).
#21 Missouri is hosting and playing unranked Arkansas right now on the SEC Network; it's scoreless in the 1st quarter. #22 UNLV hosts Nevada at 8pm ET on CBBSN. #23 Illinois and #25 Colorado have already won.
