Duke Men's Lax 2025

Live stats a bit screwed up on GoDuke.com, they seem to think we are still playing St. Joe's....seems like, somehow, the score vs MICH is 0-0 with 45 seconds to go in the first period.

We are having HUGE problems, once again, in clearing…and then disjointed on offense. Jameison actually keeping us in game. Mich goalie only has 1 save.

In my 25 years of regularly watching Duke lacrosse, I have seldom —perhaps never—seen a more lifeless offense. Plus, the M goalie has played very well, and the M defense has been tough. I see no leadership. McAdorey or somebody besides an LSM has to become more assertive.

Clearing seems to be a problem every season. Unsure whether this is being adequately addressed, but it has cost us important games in past seasons.

The Duke offense was unreliable with generational talent. It should be no surprise what the offense looks like this year. Our coach coordinating the offense has been, and continues to be, the program's biggest weakness in my opinion.

McAdory when it mattered and Jamieson throughout were obviously big, but McCarthy was also huge on faceoffs and was much more dominant than his 7/12 percentage -- UM was better at hoovering up balls on the turf.

Help requested from a knowledgeable Duke LAX fan.

The absence of reliable and dominating offense is most puzzling for our high profile and very successful program..

On this roster ,who were the highest rated players coming out of HS ?
(Ranking # if available) ..

Thanks

There are more knowledgeable lacrosse posters than I but here’s my take.

I would guess the abundance of riches that we previously had scared some offensive recruits away, McCabe Millon current UVA sophomore was a Duke commit and switched late in the game to UVA,

Our highest ranked offensive recruits currently on the roster are Senior Andrew McAdorey, and Sophomores Benn Johnston, and Tomas Delgado. Grad Transfer Eric Malever was a top ten recruit coming out of high school as well.

Next year we have a few top attackmen and offensive midfield committed. Namely Anthony Drago, Brady Scioletti, and Michael Ortlieb.

There are other rankings but Inside Lacrosse has a good recruiting database.

Princeton wins 15-14.

Benn Johnston led the way with 5 goals, flashes of brilliance on offense followed by long struggles namely a long scoreless drought for most of the 3rd quarter into the 4th.

Princeton is a good team.

Carolina looked very good taking care of Penn early in their game.

Hopefully we bounce back on Sunday with a strong showing!
