He just missed it. He was trying to make the save, he just blew it. No way that should ever go in, even as perfect as that shot was.

Yeah I think you are correct but he seemed a bit unsure about jumping, so maybe he misjudged where the bar was.

As I say, repeatedly, men’s college soccer is the biggest crapshoot in all sports. The parity between the top 40 teams is Minuscule.
